Some of you may have noticed that our pace in development has changed since 2023, and it has. It was that year I had a medical emergency that resulted in a major health diagnosis. I kept it a secret initially, thinking I would eventually find a way to return to my normal workflow, as I always had before.
However, this condition requires significantly more daily management and care on top of my other health needs. After struggling to recalibrate my life, I have recently managed to regain about one-third of my previous work capacity — which I suppose is much better than nothing!
Honestly, I was never physically robust to begin with, but I am fortunately mentally fit and have someone who loves and supports me. Because of this, my diagnosis doesn't change the fact that building this game remains my passion and the reason I wake up every day. Development will undoubtedly be slower moving forward due to these health constraints, but Dark October is still moving ahead.
